Overview
Sharda Valley, located in the picturesque Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir, is a breathtaking destination known for its lush green meadows, historic Sharda Peeth ruins, and the serene Neelum River flowing alongside. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and dense pine forests, it offers a peaceful escape into nature, rich cultural heritage, and an ideal setting for exploration, relaxation, and photography.
Included/Excluded
- The tour includes private transport from Muzaffarabad to Sharda and back, comfortable hotel accommodation with basic amenities, guided visits to local attractions including the historic Sharda University ruins, and breakfast and dinner during your stay. A professional local guide will accompany the group to provide insights and ensure safety. Photography assistance, a bonfire night (subject to weather), and a basic first aid kit are also part of the package.
- The package does not include travel to and from Muzaffarabad from your home city, personal expenses such as snacks, souvenirs, or mobile/internet use, or travel insurance. Trekking gear or personal equipment is not provided. Any additional meals outside the included plan or costs due to weather delays or roadblocks are the traveler's responsibility.
Tour Plan
Arrive in Muzaffarabad in the morning and begin the scenic drive to Sharda, which takes about 6–7 hours. Enjoy panoramic views of the Neelum River and mountain landscapes along the way. Check in to a local guesthouse or hotel and relax for the evening.
After breakfast, visit the historic Sharda University ruins, stroll through the village, and enjoy riverside walks or optional short hikes in the area. Spend the rest of the day soaking in the peaceful ambiance, with optional bonfire activities at night.
Have breakfast and check out from the hotel. Begin the journey back to Muzaffarabad, with stops for sightseeing and photos. Arrive in Muzaffarabad by evening, marking the end of the tour.
