Ratti Gali Lake, located at an altitude of 12,130 feet in Neelum Valley, is a breathtaking alpine glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks and vibrant meadows. Known for its crystal-clear blue water and dramatic landscape, it’s a must-visit destination for adventurers, photographers, and nature lovers seeking raw beauty and peace in northern Pakistan.
Included/Excluded
- The Ratti Gali Lake tour includes private transport from Muzaffarabad to the Ratti Gali base camp and back, along with a thrilling 4x4 jeep ride from Dowarian to the base camp. Guests will enjoy a guided trek to the beautiful Ratti Gali Lake and a one-night camping experience at the base camp, with tents provided. During the camping night, dinner and breakfast are included. The package also offers the services of a professional local guide, a basic first aid kit for safety, and photography support along with local insights to enhance the experience.
- However, the package does not cover travel to and from Muzaffarabad from your home city, personal travel insurance, or trekking gear such as hiking boots and backpacks. Additional meals and snacks beyond those provided, personal expenses such as souvenirs or mobile/internet usage, and any costs incurred due to unforeseen delays like weather or landslides are also excluded.
Tour Plan
The journey begins with your arrival in Muzaffarabad in the morning, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to Dowarian via a scenic drive that takes approximately 6 to 7 hours through the lush valleys of Azad Kashmir. Upon reaching Dowarian, you’ll check in and unwind at a local guesthouse or hotel for a peaceful overnight stay in the mountains.
After an early breakfast, you’ll board a 4x4 jeep for an off-road adventure up to the Ratti Gali base camp. From there, a guided trek of around 2 hours leads you to the breathtaking alpine Ratti Gali Lake. You'll have plenty of time to explore the lake’s crystal-clear waters, enjoy a packed lunch, and capture unforgettable photos. After soaking in the views, you’ll return to the base camp where you’ll spend the night camping in tents under the stars, with dinner served at the campsite.
The final day begins with breakfast at the base camp, followed by a jeep ride back to Dowarian. From there, you’ll travel by road to Muzaffarabad, concluding your memorable journey by evening with beautiful memories of Ratti Gali Lake and the surrounding Himalayan scenery.
